Picture this: 3 year old Jamie(I know, adorable right), circa 1983, a red leotard, and Jane Fonda. Oh, it's true, I've pretty much been a workout addict since donning that red get up and doing leg lifts along side of my long legged mom with a Jane Fonda VHS playing on the television. So began my life long addiction to cardio. Oh, it's true! Cardio is highly addictive to me. Not just any cardio, I'm talking sweat your tail off, huff and puff, and fall out on the floor kind of cardio.
But here's the thing, I don't think it has to be your type of workout unless you want it to be. We all have our own passions that can keep us in shape, and it doesn't always have to fit into a mold. For example, Kyle doesn't really want to have to go upstairs and spend 45 to 60 minutes jumping up and down and doing punches. I have no idea why........ahem.......anyway.......His idea of a good workout is either lifting weights with Tony Horton or going outside and digging up a tree. Yes! Digging up a tree is a VERY good workout. If you come inside sweating like you just took a shower outside and so sore the next day that you can barely squat down, then, yes, I'd say that was a definite extreme workout. My point is, not everyone fits into the regular fitness mold. If you don't like to run......DON'T.....there are plenty of other things out there that can get your heart racing, tone your legs, and make you feel better. The key is just finding out what that is!
